Grant Writing Workshop 2026

The office of Research and Technology Transfer (RTT) recently hosted a 5-Day Grant Writing Workshop at the Arkansas Biosciences Institute (ABI) for early-career faculty.

With 21 participants representing every academic college at Arkansas State University, the workshop created an exciting environment for learning, collaboration, and idea exchange.

Throughout the week, participants explored grant development strategies, proposal design, budgeting, funding opportunities, review processes, and effective research communication through hands-on activities, discussions, and team exercises.

Thank you to all participants for their enthusiasm, engagement, and commitment to advancing research excellence at A-State. We look forward to seeing the innovative proposals and future funding successes that emerge from this talented group!

An assistant professor in the Department of Biological Sciences and an affiliated researcher with the Arkansas Biosciences Institute (ABI), Dr. Bailey is being recognized for her outstanding research achievements. Her work, supported by a grant from the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health, focuses on understanding the role of a key protein in the metastasis of triple-negative breast cancer.

Tomorrow is A-Stateโ€™s biggest poster presentation eventโ€”Create@State, showcasing student research, creativity, and innovation across campus.

Proud to see the incredible work of our students and faculty mentors on display.

Arkansas State University students will showcase their work at the 16th annual Create@State Symposium, featuring more than 180 poster presentations and faculty-mentored projects from across campus.

The event also includes a business pitch competition and the 3MTยฎ Three-Minute Thesis competition highlighting the impact of student research in a professional, conference-style setting.

Awards will be announced Friday, April 17 at 3 pm in the Woodard McAlister Family Club, Centennial Bank Stadium.
