One year ago, this campus space opened to make it easier for Broncos to get from class to class and activity to activity, with improved access to public transportation, bike paths and more walkable spaces. Designed to encourage connection, engagement in campus life and overall well-being, it’s made getting around campus a little greener.

Aiden Lambert, a student studying multimedia arts technology, put Experience-Driven Learning into action this summer as an audio production intern at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! 🎸 🎙️

Selected from hundreds of applicants, Lambert applied his classroom foundation to hands-on work, including running live sound for outdoor concerts and assisting professional crews during major band shows.

“Toward the end of the summer, I got to mix a couple of shows, which was really awesome,” he says. “I had gained enough experience from lectures and shadowing that I felt confident in what I was doing.”

The experience even shifted his career goals toward pursuing a future in live sound engineering. Congratulations on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Aiden!

The path to a bachelor’s degree just got clearer for Grand Rapids Community College students! 🌟

Thanks to the Bronco Bound Guarantee, students who earn a GRCC associate degree and meet program requirements are guaranteed admission to Western, along with scholarship support.

Students can also begin connecting with the Bronco community and campus life even before they transfer.

“We want students to arrive at Western knowing they belong here, find opportunities to put their learning into practice, and have the support to thrive, graduate and build meaningful careers," said WMU President Russ Kavalhuna.

Beyond admission, the partnership opens the door to WMU's distinctive academic programs and Experience-Driven Learning opportunities, preparing students to graduate with the skills, confidence and real-world experience to thrive in their careers.
