🇺🇸 MEET THE TEAM: KENNETH FRANKS! 🐴
WMU’s Military Advocate and one of the people working behind the scenes to make sure our military-connected students have the support they need to succeed.

With years of service in the Army National Guard, Kenneth brings a wealth of military and leadership experience to his role on campus.

His favorite part of the job? The students! 💛🤎

From helping students navigate benefits and campus resources to creating programs and opportunities for the military community, Kenneth is passionate about helping veterans make the transition from military life to college life.

We’re grateful to have him on the OMVA team!

💛 You don’t have to struggle through college alone.

Did you know Disability Services for Students (DSS) is available right here at WMU?

If you have a disability—including a service-related disability—DSS may be able to help connect you with accommodations and resources to support your success in the classroom.

Not sure where to start? Head to GoWMU and look for DSS-Accommodate to explore your options.

Asking for support isn’t a weakness. It’s knowing what resources are available and using them to help you thrive. 🐴💛

You served. You belong here. And you deserve the support you need to succeed.

🇺🇸 MEET THE TEAM! 💛🤎
Meet Tony LoBretto, a veteran with more than two decades of dedicated military service!
Tony’s impressive career spans both the U.S. Marine Corps and the Michigan Army National Guard, where he has served in a variety of roles and built a wealth of experience along the way.

Now, he brings that experience and passion for service to the WMU community, helping support the students who have also answered the call to serve.

We’re proud to have Tony on the team! 🇺🇸🐴

MEET THE TEAM! 💛🤎
Meet Brandy, one of the familiar faces helping make WMU a better place for students!

Brandy has been part of the WMU community as a student, parent, staff member, and alumna. She currently serves as an Administrative Assistant Senior and continues her education, pursuing a Master’s in Organizational Change Leadership, with plans to graduate in December 2027.

Her CliftonStrengths include Input, Connectedness, Relator, and Learner; which feels pretty fitting for someone whose work is all about supporting, connecting, and helping others grow.

Brandy says she didn’t want to simply support the work from the sidelines. She wanted to help improve it. We’re so glad she chose to be part of the team! 🐴✨

MEET THE TEAM!
Kenneth Franks is WMU’s Military Advocate!
Kenneth is a U.S. Army veteran and WMU grad student, giving him firsthand experience with the unique challenges and opportunities that come with being a student veteran.

From navigating campus life to balancing academics with the veteran experience, Kenneth understands what it’s like because he’s living it, too.

We’re lucky to have someone on our team who can meet students where they are and help them find the resources and support they need to succeed.

Stop by and say hello at Ellsworth Hall near the dorms on campus! 💛🤎
