KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The Haenicke Institute for Global Education’s Soga Japan Center will host a Japan Foundation Film Series next month. Screenings will take place at 5 p.m. in Brown Hall, Room 2028.

The series begins with a viewing of Samurai Cat on Tuesday, Dec. 3. This film tells the story of an expert swordsman, once a feared killer, who now lives in poverty. In the film, the swordsman receives his first assassination request in years, but the target is unexpected—a cat rumored to have turned its master into a spineless jellyfish.
