From Social Media Ambassador Bernice Mike '26: The last Community Reflection of the trimester offered students a chance to get together for a fun sing-along before finals! 🎶 It was exactly what we needed during a stressful Week 10. If you missed it, maybe take some time to bop to some of your favorite songs. It's a great way to get rid of some tension!

From Social Media Ambassador Bernice Mike '26: As the tradition holds for every trimester, Tea with Nelda took place Thursday at the Nelda K. Balch Festival Playhouse, where students and professors from the theatre department got together for constructive conversations, good food, and of course, tea! Thursday's event was extra special because we had Veronica Tjioe, the writer of “String’s the Thing,” join us in conversation. Their play is a world premiere taking place at K's Festival Playhouse at 6 tonight and at 4 p.m. Saturday as a part of the SIP for May Moe Tun '25, so check it out!

Social Media Ambassador Bernice Mike ’26 attended a Community Reflection on Friday presented by the student organization DREAM, which stands for Disability-Illness Rights, Education, Activism and Mentoring. The group provides a space for disabled students and allies to form community, educate, and advocate on campus: “Thank you to all the students who shared stories about their own experiences with disability, while also raising awareness to the areas where our campus could be more accessible. In times when the world feels divided, it is crucial that our community comes together by hearing and helping each other out.”

Social Media Ambassador Bernice Mike '26 attended a musical Senior Integrated Project (SIP) presentation this weekend: "Congratulations to Silvia Gaete Lagos '25 for her phenomenal performance of her SIP this past Friday! Silvia shared the history of the authoritarian regime in Chile, using the power of music. She performed 11 folk songs written as a form of protest during that period. To add even more to her already spectacular work, she made a video collage of other K students reading heartfelt letters written by survivors of the regime. Her project serves as a good reminder of how important art is during turbulent times."
