As we honor June 19, 1865, we remember those who endured, those who fought for justice, and those whose sacrifices paved the way for future generations. Their stories remind us that freedom must be protected, history must be remembered, and unity remains one of our greatest strengths.

Today, let us celebrate Black joy, honor our ancestors, educate the next generation, and continue the work of building a more just and equitable future.
