In January 2016, Kennesaw State University’s Division of Student Affairs established an office dedicated to Student Advocacy. The purpose of this office is “to address student concerns regarding campus civility, student welfare, and other issues that may compromise a culture of belonging at KSU." – Dr. Daniel S. Papp (December 2015 and January 2016 Kennesaw State University Campus updates)

The Of

fice of Student Advocacy provides impartial and informal services to assist currently enrolled students with resolving problems or concerns. We can help by listening as a sounding board, assisting in examining resolution options, suggesting possible referrals, making informal inquiries, or otherwise reviewing matters received. Our response is tailored to the dynamics of the situation and the student’s concerns. The Office of Student Advocacy serves as a critical component in upholding the institutional mission where ‘the KSU community values open, honest, and thoughtful intellectual inquiry, innovative and creative problem solving, professionalism, expertise, collaboration, integrity and ethical behavior, engaged citizenship, global understanding, sustainability, mutual respect, and appreciation of human and cultural diversity.’
