New and returning students were welcomed back to campus this past week and kicked off the fall semester with Ranger Welcome activities. We are so happy to have our Rangers back on campus! 💚🐻

Yesterday, UW–Parkside officially announced a brand-new addition to campus: 7-foot-tall letters featuring the university's initials. These letters will anchor the student center as the official entrance to campus, welcoming home our students, faculty, and staff. This new gathering space wouldn’t be possible without our amazing community partners, Cordeck, Riley Construction, and the UW-Parkside Foundation.

Congratulations to Anita Robertson who is currently a graduate student at UW–Parkside and who placed first during the WiSys Quick Pitch State Final this summer during the WiSys SPARK Symposium.

Robertson's pitch, “Empowering Milwaukee’s Youth: A Strategic Model for Community-Based Mentorship.” shared her research on a community-based mentorship model that combines education, professional development, and community support to help close opportunity gaps for Milwaukee youth. Robertson’s faculty advisor is Kelli Stein, a lecturer in the Business Department.
