Kent State University College of Arts and Sciences The College of Arts and Sciences is the intellectual heart of Kent State University. We also educate students for many careers and professions.

The programs in the College encompass humanities, social sciences, natural and mathematical sciences that are increasingly interwoven into mosaics of the liberating arts and sciences. These programs are offered through 16 academic departments and several centers and institutes. We offer 45 baccalaureate, 35 masters, and 37 doctoral degree programs in a wide range of fields. Bridging research and real-world impact 🤝
Led by Elias Nader, Ph.D., Kent State is partnering with the City of Cleveland to strengthen trust between law enforcement and the community through research, training and collaboration.

With support from Carla Goar, Ph.D., and the Community Engaged Research Institute, the initiative brings together faculty, students and community leaders to focus on evidence-based strategies that improve communication, accountability and public safety.
