Next on stage is "Perfect Arrangement!"

It’s 1950, and new colors are being added to the Red Scare. Two U.S. State Department employees, Bob and Norma, have been tasked with identifying sexual deviants within their ranks. There’s just one problem: Both Bob and Norma are gay, and have married each other’s partners as a carefully constructed cover. Inspired by the true story of the earliest stirrings of the American gay rights movement, madcap classic sitcom-style laughs give way to provocative drama as two “All-American” couples are forced to stare down the closet door.

Professor Fabio Polanco is no stranger to Cleveland’s theatre scene. While he spends most of the year teaching Kent State University’s theatre students, he makes time to continue honing his craft. Now, he is taking on a role in “Daphne’s Dive” by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Quiara Alegría Hudes at Dobama Theatre.

Kent State Transforum Theatre students took their talents to Scotland for Edinburgh Festival Fringe! 🎉

Every year, Transforum Theatre works with students to create a piece of devised theatre which travels to Scotland for a final performance. This year, students created an original play centering events leading up to May 4, 1970, conceived and written by Kent State students.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe is one of the world's largest art's festivals and acts as a springboard for many new and theatrical works, providing Kent State students with international exposure and connections abroad.
