Our Neopit Community Gatherings are continuing, even as we remodel the Neopit Outreach Center! Thanks to the generous collaboration with the Department of Aging, we will be hosting our next Community Dinner & Gathering at the Neopit Senior Center, on June 16th, from 5-7PM. Enjoy good food, good company, and a relaxed space for us to gather and connect. All are welcome!

We look forward to hosting our community dinners at the Outreach Center once remodeling is complete, and we are grateful for the space and opportunity to continue them while the work is ongoing.

The 2026 Seven Generations Inter-Tribal Leadership Summit will again be hosted in collaboration between the College of Menominee Nation, the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University, and the Universities of Wisconsin at the end of September. To promote the Summit better, the deadline for proposals remains the same as it was last year.

The theme this year is: The Land Remembers Us.

We would like to invite you to participate in the call for proposals until May 29th, 2026, by filling out our form at www.menominee.edu/sevengens-26

The 2026 Summit will take place from Wednesday, September 30th, to Friday, October 2nd, 2026.

The summit will continue to be a conduit to create a space for tribal leaders to practice envisioning the future of the tribes by presenting progressive research and practices. Participants will hear from and engage with leaders in various fields and will be provided with opportunities to form new partnerships in the future. Our four key areas this year are:

Education, Environment, Economic/Workforce Development, and Health and Safety.

Please contact Melinda Cook ([email protected]) with any questions about this event and/or the invitation to participate. We look forward to seeing you and hearing the stories you have to share.
