On May 27, 1989, 14 visionary women, with the assistance of Soror Orenthia Mason, chartered the Kilgore Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., laying a foundation rooted in sisterhood, service, and community impact✨

We proudly honor our charter members:
Mary Benson, Doris Brown, Lawrency Gauthier, Peggy Jackson, Georgia King, Sharon Martin, Sandra Muckelroy, Ann Newsome, Laura Paster, Johnnie Roberts, Oreba Square, Rhonda Stanford, Carolyn Starling, and Caudy Williams!

Today we honor our beautiful mothers — those who guide our steps, watch ahead for danger, and pour themselves into others without hesitation. From mothers by birth to grandmothers, godmothers, and every mother figure who stands in the gap, your love is the foundation upon which we stand.
