The First Flight ROV Team has once again secured a spot in the Marine Advanced Technical Education (MATE) Center’s international competition at Long Beach City College, California on June 23 after winning the regional competition at Old Dominion University. This is the 8th time in ten years that First Flight has won the regional to advance to the international competition. The team won the interna

tional competition in 2010 at the University of Hawaii-Hilo by beating top college preparatory high schools and science academies from around the world. Thomas, Elliott Piland, Travis Lawrence, Drew Whitehead, Will Roepcke and Jack Voight.
