Growth during pharmacy school doesn’t always happen all at once.
Sometimes it happens gradually through leadership roles, difficult rotations, long study nights, conversations with classmates, and moments where students start realizing they’re capable of more than they thought when they first arrived. For Sydney, that growth accelerate when she became involved across the College of Pharmacy community.
Throughout their time at URI College of Pharmacy, students grow through hands-on learning, involvement across campus, leadership opportunities, and experiences that help connect coursework to real patient care and community impact. Along the way, many students also discover new levels of confidence in themselves as professionals, teammates, leaders, and people.
A big part of that growth comes from the support system around them. Faculty mentors, classmates, organizations, and experiential learning opportunities all help shape the student experience in meaningful ways.
By graduation, students leave with stronger communication skills, greater confidence in uncertain situations, and the experience of learning alongside people who challenged and supported them throughout the process. For many students, this is when they have one of the biggest realizations: they’ve grown in ways they never would have expected when they first started.
