Can I check to confirm my documents were received?

Of course! We would be glad to confirm receipt of transcripts, Recommendation Forms, and Hospital Observation Forms. Please email [email protected] for assistance. The online application will send a confirmation email to the student once submitted. If you believe you submitted the online application but did not receive a confirmation email, please reach out to us.

Can I submit a recommendation letter my reference wrote?

No. To standardize review of applications, we only accept completed and signed Recommendation Forms. Forms can be found in the Admission Requirements area of our website: https://tinyurl.com/mptcxk88 Recommendation Forms are available in printable and digital formats. Digital forms require signatures that must be signed in a .pdf handling program (like Adobe Acrobat Reader) with an official Digital ID that can be validated. Digital forms with typed signatures will not be accepted. Completed printed forms can be scanned by the student for submission, or brought to the Veterinary Technology office to be scanned.

Who can I ask to complete a Recommendation Form?

Recommendation Forms should reflect your character and performance in a workplace-type setting. They should not be completed by individuals who only know you in a casual setting, like family or friends. We will not be accepting Recommendation Forms completed by the hospital staff where the applicant completed the observation experience, unless the applicant has additional experience with the personnel past the 40 hour observation requirement (for example, being currently or formerly employed by the clinic).

Who can I ask to complete a Recommendation Form?

Recommendation Forms should be completed by someone who knows you in a formal capacity and has spent enough time with you to be familiar with your character and work performance. Applicants might ask an employer, an extra-curricular coach, or a high school teacher. Leaders or advisors of professional organizations, like FFA or 4-H chapters are another option. Leaders in community engagement efforts, like youth groups or non-profit organizations, are also accepted.
