Thank you all for helping us celebrate International Ramen Day on April 4th! 🍜🍜

This year, Professor Xu graciously shared his culture with the members of the Honors College in a fun, social event.

Students and staff met in the APA building to share a spicy meal provided by Professor Xu. Needless to say, the 2x Spicy Buldak Ramen left many teary-eyed. Luckily, other options were available for our spice-sensitive friends!! With the event's success, we hope to make this a yearly tradition at the honors college.

Meet Katherine Dullen, an active student and leader within the LSC-Kingwood Honors community! ⭐

Katherine Dullen is a 2nd-year Honors student and the Honors College Leadership Program's (HCLP) Operation Manager. Her role consists of helping with HCLP meetings and assisting members with their initiatives.

Katherine has also presented at multiple conferences, including Undergraduate Research Day, the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate Consortium, the Great Plains Honors Council, and National Model United Nations (NMUN). At NMUN, she won outstanding Position Paper and Outstanding delegate in Committee, further fostering her reputation as a conference juggernaut. Still, she admits that presenting can cause her some anxiety, yet that has never impeded her from having fun.

Here are some of her tips for students beginning their Honors research projects: pick a topic you're interested in, and although some of the workloads can be overwhelming at times, try different studying styles to figure out what works for you.

The March of Remembrance is a memorial walk taken annually since 2007 on Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) to commemorate Holocaust and Genocide Awareness month to “remember, reconcile and take a stand.”
