From Berlin startups to Amsterdam innovation studios, Technology Management MBA, UW Foster School of Business students spent a week exploring the future of global business during their International Study Tour.

The group of graduating students visited companies including Omio and IBM Netherlands, participated in hands-on AI workshops, and experienced the history and culture of both cities along the way.

Beyond the business lessons and company visits, many students said the friendships and conversations shared throughout the trip made the most meaningful impact 💜💛

Congratulations to Osanwe Technologies LLC for winning the $5,000 Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati Social Impact Prize last night at the Dempsey Startup Competition!

This team of Technology Management MBA, UW Foster School of Business students has come so far, advancing to the final rounds of all three UW Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship competitions this year, also including the Science & Technology Showcase and Hollomon Health Innovation Challenge. And all the while, finding the time to complete the final quarters of their MBAs with graduation now just weeks away!

Congratulations to Osanwe Technologies LLC for advancing to the next stage of the Dempsey Startup Competition! After hours of pitching to a room full of startup founders, investment professionals and competition alumni at today’s investment round, students waited with bated breath as the list of 40 teams was narrowed to 16. Then came the screams, cheers and tears from this hardworking team of Technology Management MBA, UW Foster School of Business students.

Next stop, Sweet Sixteen on May 21, and you’re all invited! Keep an eye on the UW Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship for details, then come join us to cheer on team Osanwe Link, an AI-powered communication platform that helps nonverbal and speech-disabled individuals be understood in real-world settings, adapting visual boards to real-world scenes, decodes echoed speech and delivering caregiver prompts.

We made it to the Holloman Health Innovation Challenge!

This is huge milestone for us.

- We made it to the Top 21 out of nearly 70 submissions, not just at UW but across the Cascadia Corridor (WA, OR, ID, BC, and Alaska).
- We’re pitching in front of 100+ judges not just in campus but at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall.
- We’re representing Osanwe Technologies on a serious stage.
- We’re elevating the conversation around understanding people with echolalia and speech delays.
- We’re no longer just an idea, we’re a team advancing through competitive filters.
- We are building something that matters and people are starting to see it.

This did not happen by accident. Late nights, thoughtful interviews, feedback, iterations, and more importantly, the belief in what we’re building has just been validated!

Our next public appearance is not just about showing up but showing why Osanwe Link matters.

With a PhD in environmental and data science, Rong Fang entered the Technology Management MBA, UW Foster School of Business program to build confidence, strengthen her business strategy and break into the tech industry.

Last weekend, the Technology Management MBA, UW Foster School of Business community descended upon the Eastside Executive Center to bid farewell to the second home of each class for the past quarter-century.

What a joy to celebrate the annual TMMBA Winter Mixer in our own classrooms, where alumni reminisced while also creating new memories along with current students.

Thank you to all who were able to join us for One Last Night at the EEC before the Class of 2027 moves to the main Seattle UW campus this summer.

We’re looking forward to continuing to create new memories with the amazing TMMBA community 💜💛
