Much appreciation to Truman's WGST committee for yesterday's conversation about "Self Care During Wild Times." I think we all needed that. And more people need to know about .

The Body is Not An Apology began as a conversation between two friends. Natasha feared she had an unintended pregnancy and when Sonya asked why Natasha had chosen to have unprotected s*x with a casual partner, Natasha shared that her cerebral palsy made it difficult to be s*xual and thus she did not...

Wow! We learned so much from Dr. April Baker Bell about white linguistic hegemony. So grateful for her virtual workshop this week.

We celebrate the beauty of Blackness and Black Language, fight for Black Linguistic Justice, and provide critical intellectual resources that promote the collective study of Black Language.

The purpose of the town hall is to take stock of where we are currently as a University and gain a shared understanding of what we must address moving forward.

Effective Residential Solar Energy Incentive Policies in the United States by James T. Clemens (Truman 2020)

In recent years, residential solar photovoltaic (PV) energy has become one of the fastest-growing parts of the New Renewable Energy (NRE) market. This growth, however, does not occur without economic support in the form of government policy. In order to keep solar power competitive in the United States, federal and state governments have implemented different policies to encourage the development of the solar industry. This paper examines several different federal and state policies intended to expand the production and installation of solar photovoltaic power for residential consumption. Using examples such as the Future Energy Jobs Act in Illinois, I will analyze how geographic, political, economic, and demographic characteristics influence the success of such policies and produce a recommendation as to which policies are best equipped to equitably expand the residential solar photovoltaic capacity of Missouri.
