The final Truman Review Alumni Spotlight is on Bob McConnell ('77)! McConnell by day is an Iowa hog farmer, and by night he is the music director and CEO of the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra. After initial resistance to going to college, McConnell now uses his liberal arts education to succeed in the disparate fields of music and agriculture.

After a decade of dedicated leadership, President Sue Thomas has announced her intention to retire from Truman State University in July 2027.
