Hands-on learning in our EMT Program!

Our EMT students were back in the lab practicing blood glucose testing, an important skill used to assess patients experiencing diabetic emergencies and other medical conditions.

Students had the opportunity to practice using glucometers, checking blood sugar levels, and understanding how the results help guide patient care.

Lakeland Community College hosted a community conversation Wednesday focused on food insecurity, a priority need identified across Lake County. The event, held in partnership with Cleveland Clinic's Mentor Hospital, United Way of Lake County, and the Hunger Coalition, brought together local residents, community members, and individuals with lived experience. Lakeland Community College invites families to celebrate the Halloween season at its free Trunk or Treat event on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family-friendly event promises a fun-filled evening where attendees can collect candy and goodies from a variety of decorated trunks. These trunks will be hosted by Lakeland departments as well as community partners, including local first responders.
