TSU students attended a two-week summer program in Knoxville and collaborated with UT students on environmental research projects in the region.

Undergraduate student Grace Claerbout is preparing for a career in public service specifically focused on her passion for community development and housing policies.

As a student majoring in political science and sustainability, she combined what she learned in the classroom with experience as an undergraduate research assistant to guide her future career plans.

She's even earned an Honors recognition for her research at UT’s Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement (EURēCA).

Meet University of Tennessee Department of Theatre Assistant Professor of Applied Theatre Daniel Bird Tobin!

Bird Tobin is a theatre director, performer, and science communicator who focuses a lot of his work on bringing the skills and practice of theatre into non-theatre spaces.

This can look like directing a classic show in a beautiful theatre or bringing theatre into unexpected places like a thrift store or a person’s living room.

He is preparing for his book, "The Art of Communicating Science: Presence, Storytelling, and Building Bridges," to be published in December. In the book, he and his collaborators share their arts-based approach to working with scientists and researchers.

This fall, two Arts & Sciences Vols, Brendan LeStrange and Brody Moran, returned to Tennessee after engaging in summer research-driven internships in Germany.

LeStrange, a senior studying computational biophysics and mathematics, and Moran, a senior studying ecology and evolutionary biology (EEB at UTK) with a minor in geographic information science and technology, got the best of an internship, undergraduate research, and a study abroad program with this unparalleled opportunity.
