TCE is excited to announce that Carson Meredith has been selected as the new department head of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering - UT Knoxville. Meredith joins TCE after spending the last 26 years at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he served as a professor in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and as the executive director of the Georgia Tech Renewable Bioproducts Institute. The tour provided students with valuable insight into interdisciplinary research and career pathways in national laboratories.

During a fellowship with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Desirée Denman discovered that her passion for biological detail could help her fill an important need.

In 2022, Denman joined the CBE doctoral program. As a member of the Dalhaimer Lab, Denman is researching how a single molecule can elicit different immune responses depending on which receptor it binds. Learn more about Denman and her work at the link below ⬇️
