The Veterans Upward Bound would like to give a huge thanks to Dave Rogers of CookingWithaVeteran, Amanda Langford, and Operation TP Pyramid for hosting a great Veterans Health Fair in Shelbyville and inviting us to provide information and support to the community that we all love.
For those who don't know, this was the 25th anniversary of Health HotRod and Veteran Fair held at Daisye Musgrave Hulan Park in Shelbyville Tennessee; in remembrance and honor of those lost on September 11th, 2001.
Operation TP Pyramid joins the program to bring awareness to the fact that 'Toiletry Items' are considered a LUXURY, which means non-profits cannot use State and Federal funds to provide, what we all agree is, a hygienic need. Big thanks to them for their service to our community and beyond!
It was a great turn-out despite the heat, and we're grateful to have shared the day with other organizations that care so deeply!
