You spoke up, Tennessee — and we heard you.

After more than 7,000 votes and hundreds of comments on the future of the Ag Tag specialty license plate, one thing was clear: Tennesseans have a strong connection to the original Ag Tag.

We also heard many of you ask whether the original design could remain while recognizing two programs the Ag Tag has long supported: Tennessee 4-H and Tennessee FFA.

Because the vote between the original Ag Tag and the new Ag Tag design was close, and because so much of the feedback centered on preserving the original while adding 4-H and FFA recognition, we are opening a final weekend vote with three options inspired by what you told us:

Option 1: The original Ag Tag

Option 2: The original Ag Tag with 4-H and FFA emblems added

Option 3: The original Ag Tag with 4-H and FFA emblems added and an updated font

Voting closes at 8 a.m. CT on Monday, June 29.

The Ag Tag has supported Tennessee agriculture, agricultural education, youth leadership, forestry, market development and rural communities for 30 years. As we look toward the future, we want the final design to reflect the pride Tennesseans have in this plate and the programs it supports.

For 30 years, the Ag Tag has invested in Tennessee agriculture, supporting programs that strengthen communities, develop young leaders, and promote forestry awareness. Check out the Tennessee Department's link below to vote for your favorite new design!

The Ag Tag specialty license plate is turning 30, and the Tennessee Department of Agriculture needs your help choosing its next design.

For three decades, the Ag Tag has celebrated Tennessee agriculture and forestry while supporting agricultural education, youth leadership, market development, forestry awareness and programs that strengthen rural communities across the state.

As we look toward the next 30 years, this milestone is an opportunity to celebrate the Ag Tag’s impact, bring renewed attention to its purpose and invite the public to help choose its next design.

From June 9 through June 23 at 4 p.m. CT, vote for your favorite design: the original Ag Tag, a modernized version of the current Ag Tag or a new design. The two new options feature the Pick Tennessee Products logo, which is celebrating 40 years of connecting consumers with Tennessee farms and food businesses, as well as the 4-H and FFA emblems, recognizing the Ag Tag’s longstanding support of agricultural education and youth leadership.

UT Extension is strengthening the senior leadership structure of the Tennessee 4-H Youth Development Program, reinforcing its commitment to expanding impact and opportunity for young people across the state. 🍀

Ryan Hensley has been named Executive Director, and Jamie Harris will serve as State Program Leader. Together, they will help advance statewide leadership for a program serving more than 151,000 youth in all 95 counties.
