Inclusive Postsecondary Education Program empowering students to achieve gainful employment at UTK

FUTURE is an Inclusive Postsecondary Education Program for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism. FUTURE is designed to help students successfully transition from high school to adult life. Our goal is to empower our FUTURE students to achieve gainful employment in their communities! With the help of faculty, staff, graduate assistants, and volunteer peer-mentors, we provide students with the opportunity to take specially designed FUTURE courses, audit undergraduate courses, and to attain internships on and off campus to develop their academic, vocational, social, and decision-making skills. Upon completion of the program, students receive a vocational certificate to ultimately increase their employability and economic opportunities.
