Our Graduate Student Senate President Taylor Weber addressing Senators at our first meeting of the year!

GSS President Taylor Weber identified three priorities for GSS during the year:
1. Accessible advocacy for graduate and professional students.
2. Stronger partnerships with university offices and campus organizations.
3. A more connected graduate and professional student community.

We were also delighted to welcome three incredible guest speakers:
1. Our First Speaker was Dr. Ashley Blamey from Campus Compliance Services. Dr. Blamey reviewed the framework used to evaluate effective compliance programs, leadership and oversight, training and education, enforcement and discipline, and corrective action.
2. Our Second Speaker, Dr. Laura Bryant from the Office of Title IX, reviewed conduct addressed under university policy.
3. Our Third Speaker, Kristin Parrott from Clery Compliance, reviewed major Clery requirements, including the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report, the 60-day crime log, campus safety notifications, requirements under the Stop Campus Hazing Act, and the designation of Campus Security Authorities.
