UT's Division of Student Life cares for all Vols, providing resources and support for whatever a student might be experiencing. Any student who needs support regarding today's events is encouraged to drop in at the Student Counseling Center between noon and 4 p.m. No call ahead is needed and counselors are available if you need to talk.

As the student body continues to expand each year, UT is excited to celebrate the opening of its newest residence hall: Torchbearer Hall! This new student living space reflects UT's ongoing commitment to building a campus environment based on connection, growth, and retention in order to help our Vols succeed during their time on Rocky Top. Tonight's the night! Tennessee Saturday Night is finally here! Join us from 7-10 p.m. at the Student Union to make new connections, learn about support and resources, and have a really great time! Go down the zip line, dance on 21st Mortgage Plaza, get a yummy dinner, and more!

With students arriving back to Rocky Top, several updates and renovations around campus will provide more spaces for Vols to learn, lead, and serve. From the opening of Torchbearer Hall, housing over 1,000 students, to the relaunching of the Center for Basic Need's Free Store, to updated outdoor spaces at the Student Union, every area of campus is being optimized for student use. As several other projects are in the works, the Volunteer experience continues to be elevated for current and future Vols alike. Read more about campus improvements at the link!

Several campus improvements will enhance the student experience and make life at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, more convenient and accessible.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, August 15, and plan to attend one of the biggest events on campus: Tennessee Saturday Night! From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. the Student Union will be transformed into a campus block party, with fun games, cool prizes, tasty food, and real connections with other students and with the staff that make up the Division of Student Life. We can’t wait to see you there!

We are so excited for another year on Rocky Top supporting amazing students, creating transformative experiences, and equipping every Volunteer to learn, lead, and serve!

Great to see our UTK Student Life Leadership team at move-in and help kick off another incredible year on Rocky Top! Appreciate all they have done to make the move-in process seamless for our Vols and their families.

Campus community members driving on Neyland Drive should be prepared for a new traffic signal. The additional light at Joan Cronan Way will improve access, traffic flow, and safety for a new parking area on Stephenson Drive.

🚦 Heads up, Vols! A new traffic signal is coming to the intersection of Joan Cronan Way and Neyland Drive to improve access, traffic flow, and safety for everyone traveling through the area.

As the signal becomes active, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the updated traffic pattern and always follow the rules of the road to help keep our campus community safe.
