Sigma Lambda Beta Zeta Delta Chapter Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Incorporated It is a social fraternity that was founded in 1986 at the University of Iowa.

Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Incorporated is the largest Latino based fraternity in the country with over 90 chapters and over 20 colonies. It is based on cultural understanding and wisdom. Most noteworthy is that 18 men of whom 16 were of Latin American or Hispanic origin/ descent founded Sigma Lambda Beta. "We believe in the principles of fairness, opportunity, and in the equality

of all men, no matter what their race, culture, or ethnicity. Our biggest goal is to see that all of society can realize the importance of these three principles. In order to achieve this goal we all strive to model these behaviors and present ourselves in a gentlemanly and educated fashion."

The Brothers of the Northeast Region of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. stand by not only our members, but with our black brothers and sisters that have been battling systematic racism across the country and globe. We pledge to continue this fight through support, education, and love.

Support through fueling the good work being performed by our brothers and local community organizers to continue raising awareness and elevating our voice. Support through financial means to appropriate organizations and advocacy groups as well as those in need. Support through signing and circulating petitions to bring about justice for those victimized by acts of racism.

Educating ourselves by exploring literature, cinema, current events, and resources available that outline the history and residual effects of racism. Educating friends and followers of our organization through mailing lists containing valuable information.

Love by letting our members know we are our brother’s keeper. Love by embracing all those who are tired of this cycle of suppression and victimization. Love by holding those that are in positions of power accountable for making change, every single day. Love by holding ourselves and our brothers accountable. And love by continuing acts of support, education, and advocacy even when it isn’t a social media trend. The work has just begun and we will not stop until there is truly equality, justice and peace for all.
