Alpha Sigma Tau at Kutztown University

Alpha Sigma Tau at Kutztown University We are the Gamma Lambda chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau! Our national philanthropy is Women's Wellness Initiative & we also work along side Dress for Success.

Our symbol is the anchor. Our annual fundraiser is Mr. KU, a male pageant, where different clubs and organizations enter one male contestant to represent them. We also enjoy volunteering for other causes like the Alzheimer's Walk and the ALS Walk.

This past weekend four of our very own from Gamma Lambda attended the 42nd National Convention in Pittsburgh, PA. Not only did they learn how to better our chapter but made a huge impact as they were voting on national bylaws as well as our national council; along side chapters from around the country and some amazing/committed alumnae. When they weren’t taking on the business side of AST they were meeting other sisters and creating bonds outside of our chapter but ones that will be sure to last a lifetime. We can’t wait to get back to school to hear about all they learned and how they will make an even bigger impact in our chapter next.

This past week has been one for the books! Starting off with an amazing formal to making almost $700 at our annual Mr.KU event. Then of course we can’t forget celebrating our local founders day on Saturday!! It’s weeks like this that make us most thankful to spend it with sisters like these.

ONE WEEK until recruitment!! But today we're showing off our seniors🤗 Julie DiPiazza's story goes a little like this: "Alpha Sigma Tau has given us such great memories over these past 3-4 years. This sorority brought us to our best friends, great littles, supportive sisters and of course each other. Having three brothers, I always felt like I was missing out on having a sister, but my decision to join the sorority freshman year gave me the sisterhood bond I always wanted, with more sisters than I ever could have asked for. As seniors, it's going to be bittersweet graduating and will be extremely difficult to leave this amazing organization in the spring. Thankfully we know that we will always have a home in AST."
