At Kutztown, everyone is committed to creating a safe environment where students can be safe while learning. Our labs are equipped with important safety features including eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, and other emergency equipment to help protect students while they work with chemicals.

Chemistry meets forensic science🔬

In our forensic classes, students learn how instruments can be used to identify elements and trace chemical evidence. In this demonstration, Dr. Betts shows how forensic scientists can analyze a dollar bill for evidence.
Labs like these give students experience in how chemistry can help solve cases and prepare them for careers in forensic science and detective work.
