ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: We are so proud to highlight alum Lauren Canfield! Since moving to Chicago after graduation, Lauren has jumped right into the city’s vibrant theater scene. Her recent credits include understudying and performing the role of Natalie in Next to Normal at the Bramble Arts Loft. This Halloween season, she is performing in a series of short plays and musicals at Sandbox Theatre Collective, starring in a new 15-minute musical titled Friend by a local Chicago writer. We love watching our alumni thrive!

Alumni Spotlight: 2026 graduate Katie Kostner is performing at Valleyfair this fall for both Tricks and Treats by day and ValleyScare by night. During the day, she plays Grunt, the singer and guitarist in Hallowheelies and the Beasts of Boogie, performing family-friendly rock tunes throughout the park. At night, she transitions to a scare actor for The Awakening and The 7 Deadly Scares, performing in street scenes and stationed in a haunted house until midnight. Katie was also awarded Best Monster after her first weekend of performances. Way to go, Katie!
