Exciting news! For the second year in a row, our Viterbo University students made the news in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa! 📰🇿🇦
As part of their faculty-led study abroad program, the students walked the historic streets that shaped South Africa’s liberation movement, visiting landmarks like City Hall and the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. They also took part in community service projects with Siyabonga: Helping Hands for Africa, supporting orphaned children and helping equip youth with computer skills and educational opportunities. Their work contributes to ongoing efforts to revitalize Pietermaritzburg through heritage tourism and community development, fostering meaningful connections between South Africa and the United States.
