SAA is proud to present Dr. Tracy R. Peterson, 2026 graduate of the Ed.D. Program! Tracy is a citizen of the Diné (Navajo) Nation and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Iowa. He serves as Director of Student Transitions and ILEAD in the College of Engineering at Penn State University, where he leads initiatives that support student engagement, academic success, and the retention of underrepresented students, including those transitioning from Commonwealth campuses.

SAA is proud to present Rikki Klassy, 2026 graduate of the M.S.Ed. Program! Rikki lives in Stoughton, WI, and after a career spanning engineering, math instruction, and health care education, currently works as a Clinical Placement Coordinator at the School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her graduate studies, enriched by a study abroad experience in Germany that broadened her understanding of student experiences across cultures, deepened her commitment to advocating for non‑traditional students and elevating student stories through narrative approaches. SAA is proud to present Dr. Reginald Hawkins, 2026 graduate of the Ed.D. Program! Reg Hawkins serves as Assistant Director of Multicultural Student Services at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where he brings seven years of experience in student affairs leadership across residence life and multicultural affairs. His research focuses on racial trauma, systemic anti-Blackness, and mental health disparities among Black college students. He earned his Master’s degree in College Student Personnel Services and Administration from the University of Central Arkansas and holds Bachelor degrees in Philosophy and Political Science from Mississippi State University.

FranChesca Riley is a Student Services Program Specialist for the Fostering Success Program (she supports students with foster care and housing insecurity backgrounds) and coordinates the Student EDI Certificate as well as Civil Rights Pilgrimage at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. She is passionate about advancing equity, access, and student success through her work in higher education. SAA is proud to present Dr. Christopher M. Hawkins, 2026 graduate of the Ed.D. program! Dr. Hawkins is originally from Sylvester and Columbus, Georgia. He currently serves as the Director of Student Involvement at the University of South Alabama. With nearly ten years of professional experience in student affairs, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering meaningful student engagement and leadership development.

His dissertation, titled “Love, Labor, and Longevity: Narratives of Campus Life Professionals and Their Partners,” explores how the work of campus life professionals impacts their personal relationships and, in turn, how those relationships influence their work.

Dr. Hawkins is grateful for the family, mentors, and colleagues who have supported him throughout his academic and professional journey, as well as the experiences that have shaped him along the way.

Thea Ranis is a graduate Hall Director at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and has a passion for all things housing and residence life! She is excited to wrap up her capstone on the impacts of targeted engagement efforts to increase sophomore student retention. SAA is proud to present Holly Korfmacher, 2026 graduate of the M.S.Ed. Program! Holly Korfmacher is an Admissions Counselor at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she works closely with prospective students and families to support their transition to college. She is passionate about expanding access to higher education and helping students from a variety of backgrounds navigate the admissions process.
