This One Day, make a difference for UWL students!

The UWL Food Pantry depends entirely on donations to keep its shelves, fridge and freezer stocked with food and essential items. Donations help us purchase the items our community needs most. Items we need more of include hygiene products, gluten-free items and frozen produce.

During One Day for UWL, your gift can help ensure our Eagles have access to the essentials they need to succeed. Plus, thanks to a generous anonymous donor, donations to the Food Pantry will be matched up to $7,000!

This morning, the annual UWL Campus Child Center Oktoberfest Parade happened on campus, kicking off one of La Crosse’s biggest event, Oktoberfest!

The Parade featured recently crowned 2026 Miss La Crosse Oktoberfest and UWL senior, Jenna Martin (Miss La Crosse-Oktoberfest), 2026 Festmasters, UWL Police, local community members and children and families of the UWL Child Center as they paraded around the Student Union and down Badger Street.

During Oktoberfest, there are plenty of opportunities throughout the weekend to support UWL. On Saturday Morning, head to the Maple Lead parade downtown to cheer on the Screaming Eagles Marching Band . You can also stop by the main grounds where UWL’s ORTM/Rec Management program felicitates Lederhosen Games. Plus, support other UWL organizations volunteering at the grounds!

While we hope everyone has a great time celebrating Oktoberfest, we also want you to be safe and responsible. Stay with your friends, make responsible choices, and practice safe drinking habits. Remember you represent UWL both on and off campus.
