Congratulations to Dr. Michael Sauer and his fabulous choirs! Yesterday's Fall Choral Concert at Maria Angelorum was a testimony to our vocal legacy at Viterbo University! The Viterbo Concert Choir, Ninth Street Singers, and Viterbo Choral Arts performed beautifully! The ensembles are supported by the collaborative talents of Judy Stafslien (Concert Choir and Ninth Street Singers) and Dr. Mary Ellen Haupert (Viterbo Choral Arts).

If you’re in town for the weekend, you might consider buying tickets to see “Kiss Me, Kate” in the Main Theater. Professor Emeritus Diane Foust has done a fabulous job of music directing the talented cast and orchestra. Diane continues to teach a class on the Alexander Technique, as well as teaching AT privately for the Music Department. Even though she's retired, Diane continues to share her many talents with the Conservatory for the Performing Arts.

Guest artist and professor, soprano Mimmi Fulmer, made her way from Madison, WI today (Thursday, October 8), to work one-on-one with our voice students in both a masterclass and in individual lessons. She demonstrated a vast knowledge of the repertoire and varied approaches to vocal production, artistry, and rhythmic exercises to navigate difficult passages in the music. We are grateful to Prof. Fulmer for making the trip and working with our students, and special thanks to Dan Johnson-Wilmot and his students - Skye Hermsen, Amelia MacFarland, Harmony Gasch, Tom Hartl, Lynn Barnet, and Rylie Nusz, joined by Judy Stafslien, for preparing such splendid music for the masterclass!

Viterbo University Choral Arts is a community choir directed by Dr. Michael Sauer and accompanied by Dr. Mary Ellen Haupert. They will be performing on the Viterbo Fall Choral Concert this Saturday, October 10 in Maria Angelorum Chapel at St. Rose Convent at 3:00 PM. Alumni Connections!
I had a wonderful time catching up with two Viterbo University alumni today! Molly Malone (class of 1995) has been teaching for 31 years, 25 of which have been at Chippewa Falls High School! Ben DiSera (class of 2013) is both track coach and choral director at Hayward High School. Both are esteemed members of their respective EXCELLENT programs and it was a pleasure to see them in thriving environments, making a difference in young lives!
