The OSU Agriculture Program at EOU was established to bring agriculture and natural resources education and research opportunities to a wider set of Oregon residents and the Intermountain West. This is possible through a unique cooperative effort between Oregon State University's College of Agricultural Sciences and Eastern Oregon University. OSU Agriculture Program students benefit by instruction from resident OSU faculty, EOU faculty, and Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Center scientists. This program provides large campus opportunities in a small campus environment. Student can earn an OSU Bachelor of Science degree in four different agriculture and natural resource areas while attending classes on the EOU campus. Also offered are six agriculture and natural resources minors, as well as courses in wildlife and forestry. OSU Ag students are among the most active students on the EOU campus; activities include collegiate athletics, student government, Ag & Young Cattlemen's Club, Range Club, Collegiate FFA, Rodeo Club, theatre, choir, and domestic and international exchange programs.

Fall term started a little early for our RNG 441 students! 🌾🌿

Led by Dr. Bryan Endress, our Vegetation Monitoring & Analysis students headed outside for a week of fieldwork from September 14th-18th. They gained hands-on experience measuring, monitoring, and analyzing vegetation in Zumwalt Prairie — the largest remaining native bunchgrass prairie in North America

This was a great way for students to gear up for the term before they complete the rest of their RNG 441 coursework online.

A big thanks to our friends at The Nature Conservancy for hosting the class!

Very proud of our student Finn Irvine for speaking at OSU's Pendleton Round-Up dinner last week. Way to represent! 🤠🧡🖤

Did you know that a 125-year anniversary is called a “quasquicentennial?”

No matter the technical term, most would just call this an amazing legacy. 🌟

Yesterday we were honored to be a part of the Union Experiment Station's celebration of 125 years. It was a wonderful event filled with tours, history, and opportunities to reminisce with OSU colleagues and community members.

Our director, Penny Diebel, provided a short talk about our 40-year partnership with this branch of the Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Center. Plus, two of our ambassadors were on hand to share about our program.

Cheers to this wonderful milestone, and we can’t wait to continue to work together! 🎉

A big congrats to our student Parker Wynn for earning a scholarship from the Auto Ranch Foundation. 🧡🖤Way to go! 👏
