What an incredible legacy Richard Cash has left the world. A simple, low-cost intervention that has saved millions of lives, AND lessons in humility for his students. May he rest in power.

In the late 1960s, he went to Dhaka to work on cholera. There he became involved in the development of oral rehydration therapy — hailed as one of the most significant medical advances of the century.

If you are in San Diego on March 19, check out this awesome short documentary directed by four Triqui young adults and UC professor Seth Holmes who produced it. Their film, First Time Home, will be showing next Saturday at the San Diego Latino Film Festival. The four young adults are from the families with whom Seth has collaborated for the past 20+ years ( Three of the film's directors and Seth will be present at the screening for the Q&A afterwards.
