UC San Diego African American Studies The African American Studies Program at the UC San Diego examines African American life in the U.S. through interdisciplinary, Diasporic frameworks.

The concerns and interests of African Americans have set the stage for the advancement of political, educational, social, and cultural movements in the U.S. and the world. This week we had the pleasure of hosting our Umoja fam from SD City College. They joined us for a mock lecture given by our program director, Dr. Childs, to get a glimpse into what it’s like to take a BDAAS course at UCSD🤓📚 Best of luck with those transfer applications!

We thank sdcityumoja for visiting and our campus partners: Eighth and Revelle College Advising, the Black Resource Center, and UCSD Admissions, for helping make this visit happen!
