On March 14th, the English and art departments at Biola hosted NC-based artist Jody Servon and CA-based poet Lorene Delany-Ullman for an exhibition on their new book, “Saved: Objects of the Dead.” Their book featured over forty photographs and prose poems, chronicling the lives, deaths, and relationships of individuals whose objects are imbued with their emotional and physical senses, then saved by loved ones and friends as an affirmation of their lives. NC-based artist Jody Servon and CA-based poet Lorene Delany-Ullman are coming to Biola for an event on 1:30 pm, March 14th at Bardwell 211. They will be presenting their new book, around their new book, “Saved: Objects of the Dead” - a photographic and poetic exploration of the human experience of life, death, and memory. In this monograph featuring over forty photographs and prose poems, Servon and Delany-Ullman chronicle the lives, deaths, and relationships of individuals whose objects are imbued with their emotional and physical senses, then saved by loved ones and friends as an affirmation of their lives.
