It has been an amazing Move-In Day at Biola to kick off the Fall 2026 semester… and it’s not over yet!
This is a tremendous milestone for Biola students as they begin a new chapter. We look forward with anticipation to how God will shape your journeys here at Biola and beyond!

A special thank you to Biola Athletics, whose student-athletes and coaches were out early carrying boxes and directing traffic, and to all the students and staff who gave their time to make today a great welcome! A special thank you to the parents and families for entrusting your students to us!

This week, Biola kicked off Welcome Day season in prayer.

President Corey led faculty, staff and trustees on a Prayer Walk of Consecration across campus, asking God to pour out his Spirit and blessing over the students, families and community about to arrive!

Staff and faculty also gathered to write prayers for incoming students by hand, hanging the cards on the trees in front of the library and placing them in the prayer box in the lobby of Middle Metzger.

Welcome Day is almost here, and Biola is ready to welcome this new class covered in prayer!

This summer, Biola University launched its first ever Summer Engineering Camp for high school students, drawing an inaugural cohort from as far as Washington state to local counties across Southern California!

Taught by Biola School of Science, Technology and Health engineering faculty and student mentors, campers learned industry standard tools like SolidWorks and 3D printing to design and fabricate their own automaton, all in the span of a week.

Many had never touched engineering before camp and left proud to showcase their finished builds on the last day.

Beyond the lab, students got a taste of college life too, staying overnight in the dorms and heading out on excursions to the beach and other activities around Southern California!

Last Wednesday, the School of Science, Technology and Health commissioned the Founding Cohort in Biola's M.S. in Occupational Therapy program to their fieldwork placements, where faculty and loved ones shared a meal, worshipped and sent our students off in prayer!

This month, the School of Science, Technology and Health welcomed two groups of high schoolers (grades 9-12) to campus for a five-day Molecular Biology Summer Camp! Across both sessions, students got hands-on with real lab techniques used by working scientists, including DNA extraction, PCR analysis, protein gel electrophoresis, CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing and Western blot analysis. They even heard from a guest faculty speaker on molecular biology.

From pipette practice on day one to analyzing their own results by day five, campers left with more than a certificate. They left with a real taste of what it means to do science.
