Thank you to everyone who helped make the LaFetra College of Education 19th Annual Family Learning Conference a tremendous success!

The University of La Verne was filled with families, children, authors, entertainers, presenters, educators, and community partners, all coming together to create such a special day of connection, creativity, and learning.

The Family Learning Conference creates a collaborative partnership between the community, schools, and the University to provide families with innovative and inclusive learning experiences at no charge. Through interactive workshops, creative activities, and resource-sharing opportunities, we aim to empower caregivers with practical, sustainable strategies that elevate learning in the home and community.

Our mission is to build lasting partnerships that open doors to higher education and provide clear pathways to success for families and their children. By engaging students, parents, educators, and community partners, the conference celebrates the power of education, creativity, and connection.

“This event reflects our mission to strengthen partnerships among families, schools, and the community in support of student success and lifelong learning. It was a special day to welcome PK–8 students and their families to celebrate literacy, connection, and the joy of learning.” - Dr. Martin Yousef, Associate Dean

We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed their time, talent, energy, and support to make this year’s conference such a meaningful experience.

Save the Date! The 20th Annual Family Learning Conference will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2027. Stay connected for more info!

Another incredible Community College Leadership Symposium as part of the LFCE Leadership Development Series!

“The Leadership Development Series represents an exciting step forward in our commitment to strengthening leadership. We are especially energized to expand our focus to community college leaders, who play a vital role in shaping access, opportunity, and student success. By investing in their growth, we invest in the future of our communities." – Dr. Martin Yousef, Ed.D., SHRM-SCP, Associate Dean.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this symposium such an impactful, inspiring, and enriching experience. Together, we explored leadership development with a focus on real-world experience, measurable institutional impact, and a shared commitment to improving outcomes for students.

The day was filled with distinguished speakers, powerful stories, thoughtful conversations, and a remarkable presidents panel where experts shared their wisdom, projections, and collaborative inspiration for the future of community college leadership.

Attendees captured the spirit of the day best:

“The most value I received, personally, was the ability to network with the presenters and the attendees.”

“The event is motivational to see leadership be so passionate, to hear their stories, and to know that as we work with students, we do make a difference.”

“Incredible day, incredible stories.”

“Good reminder we aren’t alone and we all have the same desire to make things better for students. We are in the same space to collaborate and cheer each other on.”

We are grateful to our speakers, panelists, attendees, and partners for bringing such passion, insight, and purpose to this event. It was an incredible day of connection, collaboration, and leadership, and a powerful reminder of the difference we can make together for our students and communities.
