"We understand that we stood on the shoulders of many, and we believe it's our responsibility to give back."

When Nick Pugh III graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (then the University of Southwestern Louisiana) in 1968, he and his wife, JoAnn, went on to build companies that rewrote what was possible in telecommunications. Then they did something even bolder when they put that same disruptive spirit to work transforming public education in Acadiana.

The Pugh Family Foundation's support of UL Lafayette's new Learning Lab is helping reimagine how teachers are trained, how classrooms are designed, and what K-12 education can look like in Louisiana.
