Meet Dr. David Dycus ’05, veterinary orthopedic surgeon and founder of Fusion Veterinary Orthopedics. Today, David is an internationally recognized speaker and author specializing in canine orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation.
But his journey started at LC, where small classes, close relationships with professors and a liberal arts education helped prepare him for veterinary school—and for a career built on expertise, curiosity and compassion.
David describes his LC experience in one word: Preparation.

Meet our Grants Communications Specalist, Matthew Strother! ✨

For nearly 10 years, Matthew has been an integral part of student success at LaGrange College. Through researching and writing grant proposals, he helps secure funding for campus-wide resources, programs and student scholarships, playing an important role in creating meaningful opportunities for our students.

“I like being part of the LC community and seeing how it helps shape young lives. I get to document examples of this in students who are positively impacted by the institution in various ways.” ❤️

Matthew also leads philanthropic communications, interviewing students and sharing their stories to highlight the life changing impact of donor-funded scholarships and support. Through his work, he helps connect the generosity of our donors directly to the students and experiences they make possible. 🫂

We are so thankful for Matthew and the work he does behind the scenes to make LC a better place for our students!
