Tuesday night’s Hesburgh Lecture and pre-lecture social (sponsored by ND Women Connect • Orange County and ND Professionals) was a smashing success! Almost 60 guests and very interesting insider stories from Professor Garnett’s time clerking for Chief Justice Rehnquist, followed by excellent conversation in the Q/A as well.

Thank you to Sarah for leading the NDCOC efforts in coordinating the evening, and to board members Michelle, Ed, and Tony, and to Steffanie at Servite for all of their assistance.

It’s a Top Ten matchup for the Fighting Irish this week, and we have TWO Game Watch locations for you to choose from!

Please join us in cheering on the undefeated #2 Fighting Irish as they travel to LaVell Edwards Stadium in Utah on Saturday to face the #8 BYU Cougars. This is a big game — ESPN’s College Game Day will be broadcasting from Provo. We’ll be at here in Orange County shaking down the thunder from not one, but two, locations! One in Huntington Beach (please RSVP as this is a new venue) and one in San Juan Capistrano.

This year our speaker, Richard Garnett, Professor of Law at the University of Notre Dame, will speak about “The Supreme Court: How It Was, How It Is.”

Our ND Professionals group got together last night at a spectacular new space at Muldoons Irish Pub called “The Firm.” A perfect way to kickoff Fall and reconnect with fellow Domers as well as enjoying great food and drink — all here in OC!
