We had such a fun week of Nashville Summer Nights here at Glennwood we had a hard time picking all the special moments. We hope you enjoy our recap of all the fun times that took place. What a fun way to kick off day 2 of Nashville Summer Nights at Glennwood! The Residents used their boot bucks at Marco’s pop up boutique to get their unique styles all dialed in! Games on the outdoor patio was a great afternoon activity as they mastered their roping skills on the Glennwood Steers!! We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!!

Nashville Summer Nights kicked off yesterday at Glennwood! On Day 1 in the morning, we introduced our residents to the week long activities thru Coffee Time at Kyra’s Koffee Shop, how to use their Nashville Passport and finding their Nashville Summer Nights T-shirts around Glennwood. Residents will enjoy a fun week of inspired activities including a daily preview of our Nashville Nights Gala food. The Photo Booth is always a highlight and builds the excitement to get ready for our Nashville Nights Gala in October. So follow along this week for highlights of every day of this special event!

Glennwood was honored to be invited to the 2026 Thompson Policy Institute Summit on Disability and Opportunities for All. The Glennwood Coastal Crew presented a spotlight presentation on our partnership with California State Parks Coastal Department. State Parks Superintendent Scott Kibbey joined Ella, Carter and Lauren from Glennwood house to share more about this important inclusion and accessibility program.

What a party we had at Glennwood to root on our favorite teams in the World Cup! With fun drinks to represent our teams we all picked our favorite to win! There was raucous cheering as the teams squared off! Hats off to both for giving us a game to remember!

Glennwood’s Spring Highlights as we jump into summer fun activities!

Glennwood spent the morning at Chapman University with Dr. Cosier, presenting at the Disabilities Studies Class.

Amy and Spencer participated in trainings for Orange County Sheriffs on encountering neurodivergent community members.

Great fun attending the Orange County Triathlon at Lake Mission Viejo.

LOCA’s Glennwood Advanced Art Academy finished their spring “Angel” project.

Once a month we venture out on a naturalist led nature hike/exploration walk thru Crystal Cove with our friends at State Parks. This month we incorporated an art activity inspired by what we saw on our walk. We get to learn all about the wildlife, plants, and nature in our community. This month we were joined by new friends we met from the Crystal Cove Conservancy. Our walks are one of the highlights of every month that we get to experience!

We started our day giving thanks to all those who died serving our country and ended the day with fun water games and patriotic art activities. What a fun day we had!
