đś From Caloocan, Philippines to the national stage.
Meet Dallin Christian Bacudo, a MusicâVocal Performance major at BYUâHawaii and the only BYUH student advancing to the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) National Semifinals this July in San Antonio, Texas.
For Dallin, music has always been more than a talent, it has been a way of life. Inspired by his late grandmother and supported by his family, friends, and mentors, he discovered that every chapter of his journey seemed to lead back to music. Whether singing, creating, or playing instruments, he found joy in sharing music with others and helping them discover their own passion for it.
Representing both BYUâHawaii and the Philippines on the national stage is something Dallin describes as both fulfilling and humbling. As an international student, he is proud to share his culture, his school, and the experiences that have shaped him along the way.
When he learned he had advanced to the semifinals, he was overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement. Beyond the competition itself, he looks forward to meeting and learning from talented musicians from across the country, growing as an artist, and gaining experiences that will help shape his future.
âItâs a privilege to represent BYUâHawaii,â Dallin shared. âIâm excited to give my very best, learn from others, and continue improving my craft.â
Congratulations, Dallin! We are cheering you on as you represent BYUâHawaii and the Philippines at the national level. đđ¤đľđ
