Designed to prepare students for careers in fast growing industry, the degree provides hands-on experience that extends far beyond the traditional classroom. Students will gain practical skills by producing live Esports broadcasts, managing social media campaigns, supporting collegiate Esports teams, creating digital content, and organizing large scale events.
One of the program's signature experiences is Legends Fest, Brazosport College's annual gaming and Esports convention. Students will take an active role in planning, marketing, broadcasting, managing, and executing the event as part of their capstone experience, allowing them to graduate with real world project management, leadership, and event planning experience.
Students will also have opportunities to work alongside Brazosport College's competitive Esports teams and partner with local nonprofit gaming organization Aura Fury. Through these partnerships, students can gain experience managing social media platforms, coordinating online events, supporting community initiatives, and developing digital marketing campaigns for real organizations and audiences.
