Brazosport College has launched its new AAS in Esports Business and Multimedia Management! This one has been a long time coming and super excited it is here. The Esports classes are built around hands on learning and critical thinking with the capstone project being running a convention. What makes an esports program successful? The wins? The facilities? The events?

We think it's the moments and the people who create them.

In the third part of our Brazosport College Esports story, we share some of the moments that helped shape our program: our first major wins, students taking the lead, the chaos and success of Legends Fest, finding a larger Esports community, and realizing just how much these experiences can mean to our students.

Sometimes the moments that seem small at the time are the ones we remember forever.

Esports team played a different game this time, we used two boards of ready, set, bet so we could have 11 players at once. Super fun board game.

We had a going away party for PhoenixGamer last night who has had a huge impact on our Esports program. He is transfering to Northwood University on a great schlorarship, will be on the Overwatch team, and setting up their new production team. Congrats and best of luck Daniel, we will miss you!

When people look at our Esports program today, they see the lab, the competitions, and the trophies.

What they don't see are the years of planning, setbacks, redesigns, late nights, and the students who believed in the vision before it existed.

This next story is about building our Esports lab, our first real competitive breakthroughs, and the lessons I learned along the way:
