Huge thanks to Mazda Lakeland for hosting our Automotive class last week!

Our students had a great time touring the dealership, meeting the team, and getting a real-world look at the automotive industry. We appreciate all the support you give our program through tours, training resources, and your continued involvement. Thanks for helping our students see what it takes to succeed in the field!

Traviss is a Polk County School. This post applies to our students as well.

PCPS families:

We have seen an increase in the number of students possessing or wearing Meta/Ray-Ban smart glasses, and similar wearable electronic devices in school.

This is to inform you that students may not wear or use smart glasses, or similar smart/wearable recording or communication devices during the school day.

Many of these devices can photograph, record audio or video, livestream, communicate with others, access information, or transmit content without those nearby being aware, or even consenting to being recorded.

We are prohibiting these devices in an effort to protect student privacy, ensure a safe learning environment, and minimize classroom disruptions.

Please see this post for complete details: https://www.polkschoolsfl.com/news/important_notice_regarding_smart_glasses
