Our Evening Elementary Education degree is designed with working adults in mind. If you are currently working as a paraprofessional or long-term substitute, this program could provide a pathway to get you into your own classroom sooner while you complete your degree.

Congratulations to Carla Myrie, a doctoral student in Florida Southern College’s Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program, on her promotion to Assistant Principal at Bella Citta K-8 in Davenport, Florida!

We are proud to see Carla continuing to grow as an educational leader while pursuing her doctoral degree. We wish her all the best as she begins this exciting new leadership role and makes a positive impact on students, teachers, and families at Bella Citta K-8.

Our first- and second-semester Education students met for the first time this week in their Clinical Experience in Literacy course! This course gives our future educators the opportunity to connect what they are learning at FSC with hands-on experiences working directly with students.

We can't wait to see them learn, grow, and make an impact this semester at our partner school, The Roberts Academy!

Meet Luanne Lewis (Barto), FSC Class of 1999! Luanne graduated from Florida Southern College with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Varying Exceptionalities and is now making a difference as a Kindergarten Teacher at Rosewood Magnet School in Vero Beach, Florida.

We love celebrating our FSC School of Education alumni and the lasting impact they continue to make in classrooms and in the lives of their students.
