Hundreds of hardworking, determined, and inspiring adult learners recently crossed the graduation stage and claimed what they had worked so hard for, but this day was about more than earning a degree.

We are grateful to Betsy DeVos, who was presented with an honorary doctorate, for bringing just that kind of message to the CCU College of Adult and Graduate Studies Class of 2026 Commencement. Thoughtful, inspiring, and full of conviction, her address was a gift to every graduate, family, and person in the room.
